Licensed clinical professional counselor

Taryn N. Grey, LCPC

Hi, I’m Taryn!

I look forward to helping you mindfully grow in self-awareness to effectively identify what you are feeling and what you need. Then through empathy and empowerment, embrace practices and strategies to enhance your quality of life.

A little bit about me:

I have been working in the field of counseling for 17 years, both in private practice and school settings. I have been passionate about helping others for as long as I can remember and feel privileged to have landed in a profession that allows me to do that daily.

Taryn N. Grey

I believe strongly in the development of a healing, interactive, connection and relationship with my clients to best support their growth towards personal goals. My hope is to create an environment of trust and transparency to encourage you to explore your thoughts and emotions in a meaningful way. I believe my own experiences with anxiety, depression, and life transitions have supported growth both personally and professionally to better serve my clients in their therapeutic experience.

When I’m not in the office you’ll likely find me on the sports fields cheering on two active boys, sitting around a campfire with my husband and pup, engaging in quilting and other crafts, or traveling up the coast to visit family and friends.

What you can expect from me:

In my work, I appreciate the importance of communication and the ability to articulate thoughts and feelings as a driving force in decision making and actions. I strongly endorse mindfulness and cognitive behavioral theories but also am solution-focused in my approach towards embracing the present to prepare for the future.

I uphold a belief that you are the expert on you, welcoming me into your life to walk alongside, challenge, and redirect you in a helpful way as you strive towards healthier day to day functioning. My commitment to you is to work diligently to be affirming, attentive, allowing, and accepting as you navigate adjusting your approaches and practices in doing this thing called life.
