Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor

Christy Parsons, LGPC

Hi, I’m Christy!

I look forward to getting to know you. Each stage of life brings its own challenges—whether navigating childhood, adolescence, or the teenage years; adjusting to college or career transitions; managing relationships; parenting; caring for aging loved ones; or embracing the process of aging. While we often meet these moments with strength and resilience, there are times when extra support can make a meaningful difference.

You don’t have to face these challenges alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you or your child or teen, offering a supportive and compassionate space to navigate life’s complexities and move toward greater clarity, balance, and well-being.

Christy Parson, Bel Air Therapist
A little bit about me:

I began my career as a teacher and school counselor in Baltimore County, where I spent 25 years supporting students and their families as they navigated life’s challenges. I transitioned into private practice where I could provide more personalized and in-depth support. I enjoy working with clients across the lifespan—from young children to older adults—offering a compassionate, supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward with confidence.

Outside of my work, I enjoy gardening, scrapbooking, and spending time with friends, family, and my dogs.

What you can expect from me:

There isn’t a single solution to every problem, nor is there any one therapeutic technique or theory that can explain or solve all of life’s complexities.

I believe that each person’s story is unique and so too are the solutions to issues they want to address.

I can’t promise to have all of the answers, but I will promise to listen to your story, and to partner with you and support you to find a path forward.
